As an early employee at Citadel AI, you\u2019ll have significant impact and ownership over the growth of our startup. We\u2019re backed by Japan\u2019s top investors, and are currently scaling our business in the 1 \u2192 10 stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the role<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re hiring a software engineer to work with our small, full-stack team to build products to test, monitor, and improve predictive and generative AI systems.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019ll be responsible for building our products with a focus on backend, such as working with web servers, SQL databases, AI\/ML libraries (e.g. <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/citadel-ai\/langcheck\">LangCheck<\/a>), API design, multi-cloud architecture, integrating with external services (e.g. SSO), and general functionality to test AI models and datasets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our backend is primarily in Python. Some technologies we use are: Docker, SQLite, Redis, RQ, Gunicorn, Flask, Pytest, and many Python AI\/ML libraries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an early employee, you\u2019ll own a significant equity stake in addition to your base salary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Job requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our company, technology, and market are new and changing rapidly, so a large part of the job is to adapt and learn new things. We value learning fast over pre-existing knowledge (\u201cslope is more important than y-intercept\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You should have at least 2 years of experience with web backends or AI\/ML applications in production. Some background in AI\/ML is preferred, but not strictly required. We don\u2019t require past experience with specific programming languages or frameworks.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>English is required, Japanese is optional.
